It seems that the official campgrounds are still closed.
Andrei K and I am intending to free camp in the forest. Plan to be far enough away from Intersate to not hear it , but use visitor center for water etc. Near day 1 start (Wallis Picnic area) and on a quiet side forest road . we plan to set up camp after day 1. Anyone else is welcome to join the MNOC group , let's confer at conclusion of day 1 .

Hey I am in and maybe a few others. Is there a place where everyone camped last year? Damn those pine beetles they have made a big mess of the western pine trees.

Yes.. last year we camped right by the start of day 1 ...unfortunately it was a busy dusty road on the weekends and a lot of ATV traffic passed right by the camp so would like somewhere on a side road
