Cycle long 2:00:00 [3] 35.0 km (3:26 / km) +100m 3:23 / km
Long Cycle with Charlotte
Meant to be a 70km up to Ely and back, but National Cycle Route doesn't exist anymore, and ended up walking our bikes through lots of fields trying to get to the main road, so cut it short as she had to get back for Rowing Training. Felt good and easy though
Note
(injured)
Did not do anything much today, as Maths went awfully - had a silent panic attack near the end cos of the stress, so really wasn't in the mood to do more. Also, the legs really didn't feel good, so need to do more stretching and stuff - I think it's the increase in high impact that I've done for the last two weeks - jumping etc. It's really annoying and disheartening but oh well
Note
(injured)
Shin pain is a wake-up call to how much more training I've done this week. Annoying as I know I can do much more, but just stepped it up too much, given the lack of sleep and energy being exerted during stress and exams. Gonna stay at this level a bit and gradually increase unlike planned. Gonna do more long cycles though, as they shouldn't harm the shin too much
Athletics 1:00:00 [2] 2.0 km (30:00 / km)
Javelin and then Long Jump
Shins/Ankles are definitely niggling, so gonna rest them from jumping/running for a few days - do some more cycling and stuff
Cycle 1:24:00 [3] 30.0 km (2:48 / km) +108m 2:45 / km
(rest day)
Long ride with Arlo and Krecklz
Quite fun - loads of racing, but not taking it very seriously
Needed it after french
Can't do loads of running cos got a big midge bite swollen on my leg preventing me bend it properly
Run 28:45 [3] 5.4 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Brooks Launch 10
Run with Fiz
Up through addenbrookes and then into ninewells - new favourite racing place (just next time, need to remember the long sleeves and trousers - loads of flying stuff)
A bit of history revision at Hobson's Conduit Monument
Was gonna b a 10km, but legs dead and Fiz wanted to join, so not doing that
Athletics 1:00:00 [2] 3.0 km (20:00 / km)
New Long Jump PB! 4.06m
Also, most of those were around there anyways, even after tiring a lot
Technique is a lot better, landing in the pit with bum, just need to practise bending around.
Probably didn't run a full 3km, but the effort on the body was similar cos high impact
