Running (Wu/Cd) 10:09 [1] 1.77 km (5:44 / km)

Orienteering (Urban) 47:14 [4] 10.81 km (4:22 / km) +59m 4:15 / km

York City Race.

Excellent start, running fast with no mistakes up until 13, lost a couple seconds there, thought the control was on the tree a little earlier, lost about 10 seconds. Scrappy through 14-15, not fully in control at times, 16 and 18 good, and then the mental collapse begins.

Didn't see a gap in a wall for 18, losing 30 seconds and the lead, then didn't see a fence which blocked off a way into 19, and didn't see a minuscule gap which would've been very useful: another 2 mins lost there. Then followed Adrien whilst folding my map, and he lead me the wrong way, lost another 90 seconds there. Starting to physically struggle more at this point which didn't help things. Lost another minute at 22, partly due to slipping in an alleyway and being a bit winded, and mainly due to me miss interpreting the control description, and going to the back of the wall when it was at the front. Clean but a bit slow through the rest.

Frustrating run really, could've been quite close with Charlie for the win if I wasn't such a twat in the 2nd half.

Running 1:11:33 [2] 14.05 km (5:06 / km) +356m 4:31 / km

Easy plod up to the top of porter. Felt really nice actually, although that's probably down to getting rid of all the adrenalin from today's exam.

Tried out my new terrex 225s, and they are lovely, could actually be a decent pair of shoes for sprint.

Should be able to go back to properly training now, hoping to get a good block of actually consistent mileage for the first time since winter.
